Past Activities Overseas to International Members

We have sent delegations to the following country and regions in order to organize kamishibai seminars and workshops as global activities, and we have sometimes participated in international conferences:
Belgium, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, India, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand.

And we hold some event with International Members as "World Kamishibai Day" link-icon

We made a video in which Ms. Eiko Matsui performed “The Hungry Round Ogres” and talked about kamishibai in response to the request from The Japan Foundation Sao Paulo Japan Cultural Center in Brazil. It has subtitles in Portuguese. The International Kamishibai Association of Japan cooperated to enjoyably share the kamishibai culture with the people in Brazil.

Etsuko Nozaka gives a seminar, focusing on her own work The Kind Monster Wapper.

Ms. Eiko Matsui sent a video message to the international festival “the 20th Anniversary of ‘Dejame que te cuente’ (Let me tell you a story)” held in Peru via online. In 2019, she was invited to Peru to deliver a special lecture on kamishibai at this international festival, and the audience appreciated her thoughts about kamishibai and peace. “Dear friends in Latin America and all over the world let’s share the joy of kamishibai together!”
